1. Universal Studios Hollywood
Universal Studios Hollywood is a film studio and theme park in Los Angeles, California. It is one of the oldest and most famous Hollywood film studios still in use. It was initially created to offer tours of the real Universal Studios sets and is the first full-fledged Universal Studios Theme Parks in the world. Universal Studios Hollywood is split into two areas on different levels, connected by a series of escalators called the Starway. These areas are known as the Upper lot and Lower lot. The Upper Lot is home to a variety of family based attractions. The theme of the Upper Lot includes a Mission Revival entrance pathway that ends at the new Universal Plaza. The Upper Lot is home to all of the park's shows including the Universal's Animal Actors Show, the Special Effects Stage, Waterworld: A Live Sea War Spectacular and Shrek 4-D, a 3-D film which features additional immerse features There are 4 rides located on the upper lot which include: the Studio Tour, the Simpsons Ride, 'Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem and the outdoor spinner "Silly Swirly". The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is located on the Upper Lot across from the Production Central gift shop, behind the AMC Universal City Walk theaters.
The Lower Lot is home to Jurassic Park: The Ride, The NBC Universal Experience, Revenge of the Mummy and most recently the home to Transformers: The Ride.
2. Disneyland Park
Disneyland Park, originally is called Disneyland. It is the only theme park designed and built under the direct supervision of Mr. Walt Disney.
Disneyland Park consists of eight themed "lands" and a number of concealed backstage areas, and occupies approximately 85 acres. The park opened with Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland, and has since added New Orleans Square in 1966, Bear Country in 1972, and Mickey's Toontown in 1993. Throughout the park are 'Hidden Mickeys', representations of Mickey Mouse heads inserted subtly into the design of attractions and environmental d¨¦cor.
3.Six Flags Magic Mountain
Six Flags Magic Mountain is a 262-acre theme park located in Valencia, California, north of Los Angeles. In 1979, Six Flags purchased the park and added the name "Six Flags" to the park's title. With 19 roller coasters, Six Flags Magic Mountain holds the world record for most roller coasters in an amusement park. In 2013, the park had an estimated 2.9 million visitors ranking it fifth in attendance among seasonal amusement parks in North America. ¡°Six Flags Hurricane Harbor¡± is located nearby Six Flags Magic Mountain. You can enjoy both in one trip.
4. The Hollywood Walk of Fame
The Hollywood Walk of Fame comprises more than 2,500 five-pointed terrazzo and brass stars embedded in the sidewalks along 15 blocks of Hollywood Boulevard and three blocks of Vine Street in Hollywood, California. The stars are permanent public monuments to achievement in the entertainment industry, bearing the names of a mix of actors, musicians, directors, producers, musical and theatrical groups, fictional characters, and others. The Walk of Fame is administered by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and maintained by the self-financing Hollywood Historic Trust. It is a popular tourist destination, with a reported 10 million visitors in 2003.
5. Santa Monica Beach
Santa Monica beach is located along Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica. It is 3.5 miles long and has parks, picnic areas, playgrounds, restrooms, as well as manned lifeguard stations, the original Muscle Beach, bike rentals, concessions, a few hotels, a bike path, and wooden pathways for warm days and beachgoers with disabilities. Visitor activities include volleyball, surfing, stand up paddle boarding, and swimming.
Santa Monica Beach in particular is a natural asset that we take great care to preserve; the people of Santa Monica cleans and rakes the sand daily, and even offers a ¡°trash valet¡± service on Fridays, weekends and holidays.
