Travel Profile

Its name literally means south of the clouds. The province is one of the most diverse in China. The Northwest of the province is heavily influenced by Tibet, with whom it shares a border. The South is influenced by its proximity to Laos and Burma. The province is famed for its multitude of ethnic groups, whose diverse customs can still be seen today. Of China's fifty-five officially recognized ethnic minorities, twenty-five can be found in Yunnan: about one-third of the population is not ethnic Han-Chinese.

The second day

Lijiang

Lijiang is a beautifully preserved ancient Chinese town, infused with cultural flavor. Strolling along the 800-year-old bridges and waterways of the world-famous Old Town district is like stepping back in time. Don’t miss the views atop Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and the Dongba cultural center of Jade Water Village.

We will also visit the world famous old Town of Lijiang.The town has a history going back more than 800 years and was once a confluence for trade along the old tea horse road. The Lijiang old town is famous for its orderly system of waterways and bridges.

The third day

Jade dragon snow mountain

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is a mountain massif near Lijiang, in Yunnan province, southwestern China. The range is also known as Mount Yulong after the Chinese or Mount Satseto after the Naxi name. Its highest peak is named Shanzidou.It is very much just a scenic spot high on the mountain, with access being by bus and then cable car.Jade Dragon Snow Mountain now is a famous scenic spot for sightseeing, mountaineering, skiing, exploration, scientific research and taking holiday. Besides, widespread legends and myths of the Naxi ethnic minority and the unclimbed Shanzidou are all important attractive spots for those who come here.

The forth day

Lijiang-Kunming

After breakfast, we are going back to Dali, after a short trip in Dali, we are heading Kunming. Kunming consists of an old, previously walled city, a modern commercial district, residential and university areas. It is the capital and largest city in Yunnan Province, Southwest China. Known as Yunnan-Fu until the 1920s, today it is a prefecture-level city and the political, economic, communications and cultural centre of the province as well as the seat of the provincial government. Kunming is also called the Spring city due to its weather. The city is also home to several universities, museums, galleries and other important economic, cultural, and educational institutions. The headquarters of many of Yunnan's large businesses are in Kunming as well. It was important during World War II as a Chinese military center, American air base, and transport terminus for the Burma Road. 

At afternoon, we are going to take a look of Kunming and visit downtown of Kunming

The fifth day

Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture

It is an Tai Lü autonomous prefecture in the extreme south of Yunnan Province, China. The prefectural seat is Jinghong, the largest settlement in the area and one that straddles the Mekong River, called the Lancang River in Chinese. Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture is located at the south end of Yunnan Province. It shares a boundary of 966 kilometers (619 miles) with Burma and Laos in the east, south and west, being a vital pass from China to indo-China Peninsular by land.

The sixth day

Zhaoyang Town

Historically, Zhaotong was the gathering place of businessmen in the northeast of Yunnan Province. Standing as an important gateway in NE Yunnan, it used to serve as a goods and materials collecting and distributing centre between Yunnan, Guizhou and Sichuan provinces.

For over 200 years, the old town of Zhaoyang has incorporated the quintessence of official architectures, temple architectures and folk residences, creating a diversified local architectural style that is highlighted mainly by the Qing Dynasty architectures--and also embodies the styles of the Minguo period and Chinese-Western architectures.

The seventh day

Bingdao ancient tea garden

Originally cultivated in the 21st year (1485) of Chenghua Period of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), it sits in Bingdao Village of Mengku Town, Shuangjiang County, Lincang City. There have been about 1,000 ancient tea plants with the diameter ranging from 0.3 to 0.6 meter.

In 1761, the 11th Dai ethnic chieftain of Shuangjiang married his daughter to the local chieftain of Shunning, and what was included in the dowry was several hundreds of kilogrammes of tea seeds dedicated to Fengqing. And for more than 500 years, tea trees originating from Bingdao have been directly and indirectly spread to many tea-planting areas. Fengqing County alone, for example, has a planting scale of at least 600,000 mu (40,000 hectares).

2.Tips for elder customers:
(1)Age of 70 years or older customers need to read and sign a document called "health certificate" with us, and a family or a friend need to company with the customer;
(2) We are unable to provide service for customers of 80 years old or older;
(3) We are unable to provide Yunnan tour service for customers of 65 years older (including 65 years of age);
(4)We are unable to provide Sichuan tour service for customers of 70 years older (including 70 years of age);
(5)We are unable to provide Australia and New Zealand tour service for customers of 75 years older (including 75 years of age);
